Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ReclaimHour (“ReclaimHour,” “we,” “us”) and the service available at reclaimhour.com(the “Service”). By creating a challenge, you agree to these Terms.

1. What ReclaimHour is

ReclaimHour is a 7-day behavioral commitment tool. You set a goal, choose a daily stake amount, and check in each day for seven days. The Service runs on an honor system: we do not verify what you actually did. You are solely responsible for logging your progress honestly.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.

3. Your account

We use passwordless sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since anyone with your magic link can access your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. The financial commitment

This is the core of the Service, so please read it carefully:

• When you start a challenge, you choose a daily stake amount and save a payment card through Stripe. No money is charged at this point.
• Your challenge runs for seven days. For each day you do not check in, you owe your daily stake amount.
• At the end of the cycle (day 8), we charge your saved card a single settlement amount equal to your daily stake × the number of missed days.
• If you check in every day, you are charged nothing ($0).
• The charge is processed automatically using your saved payment method. By starting a challenge, you authorize this charge.
• Once a challenge has started, it cannot be paused, edited, or cancelled. The commitment is the point.

5. Payments and refunds

Settlement charges reflect your own commitment and are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or in the case of a genuine billing error. The charge is not a payment for goods or services and does not entitle you to any product. Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms.

6. Honor system and your content

We do not verify your check-ins. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you log and for anything you post, including text and photos. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates the rights of others. You retain ownership of your content and grant us a limited license to store and display it as part of operating the Service, including on your public progress page if you share it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorization, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. ReclaimHour is a motivational tool, not medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for decisions you make about how you spend your time and money.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReclaimHour will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you were charged through the Service in the preceding three months.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, subject to the settlement of any active challenge as described above. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
